Project Spotlight: Bailey Station Elementary School Playground – Collierville, TN

Mid-South Recreation is proud to unveil the newly completed playground at Bailey Station Elementary School in Collierville, Tennessee—a collaborative effort between our team, Little Tikes Commercial, Vitriturf, school administrators, and the school’s dedicated parent organization.

The new elementary school playground design brings a dynamic and inclusive play experience to students of all ages. Built using Little Tikes Commercial Play Systems, the structure features a variety of climbing elements, slides, and interactive panels that encourage physical activity, creative play, and social engagement. From elevated platforms to age-appropriate challenges, the layout was thoughtfully developed to support learning and development during recess and beyond.

Safety was a top priority in this project. We installed Vitriturf synthetic surfacing, which offers a vibrant look and a cushioned, impact-absorbing surface to protect students while meeting ADA accessibility standards. The surfacing not only adds visual appeal but also ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all children.

This playground wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration and vision of the Bailey Station administration and parent organization, who were closely involved in design input and planning decisions. Together, we’ve created a lasting investment in the school’s future—one that promotes health, happiness, and community pride.
