The Douglass Park Splashpad in Memphis, TN is a vibrant community project that combines fun, function, and long-lasting design. Mid-South Recreation partnered with the City of Memphis to provide two high-quality shade structures that enhance the visitor experience while supporting the splash pad’s operation.

The first installation features a USA Shade 45-foot octagonal fabric shelter, supported by four sturdy posts. Its wide, open design offers excellent coverage, giving families a comfortable, shaded place to relax while enjoying the splash pad. The bold fabric canopy not only provides relief from the summer sun but also creates a welcoming focal point for the park.

Complementing this is a Poligon 14’ x 32’ hardtop shelter, built with a durable standing seam metal roof. This structure includes custom perforated windscreens, cleverly designed to house and protect the splash pad’s mechanical equipment while blending seamlessly with the park’s aesthetic. The Poligon shelter adds both practicality and architectural style, ensuring long-term functionality for the space.

Together, these shelters highlight Mid-South Recreation’s commitment to delivering innovative, durable, and community-focused recreation solutions. The project enhances Douglass Park as a destination for families and showcases how thoughtful design can support both recreation and infrastructure needs.
